Dorothy Jane Lightner

Dorothy Jane Clark Lightner, 80 years of Hillsboro, died Sunday morning, July 15, 2007 at her residence.
Jane was born March 23, 1927 at London, Ohio, the daughter of the late Albert and Dora Brumfield Clark.
On July 15, 1946, she was united in marriage to Matt Lightner who preceded her in death on July 9, 1991. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law Johnny Frank, two brothers, Verlyn and Albert Clark, Jr., four sisters, Mary Bennington, Mable Beedy, Pauline Fenner and Charline Heppard.
She was a member of the Sonners Chapel United Methodist Church, a loving wife, mother and took pride in her homemaking. She loved to do crafts, sew and entertain family and friends.
She will be remembered for her loving ways, her great sense of humor and her ready laughter.
Jane is survived by her daughter Bonita Lightner of Hillsboro, her special children, Wayne Clark of Hillsboro and Dorothy Brown of Mechanicsburg, OH., brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Carol Clark of Marysville, OH and Evelyn Diesel of Bethel, OH., Elizabeth Puckett of Hillsboro, Woodrow and Helen Lightner of Hillsboro, Edna Everhart of Hillsboro, many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro, OH.. The Rev. Wayne Edingfield will officiate with burial to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may call Wednesday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M. at Thompson Funeral Home.
