Dorothy J. Stern, age 88 of Seaman, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at her residence.
She was born in Adams County, Ohio on May 20, 1925 the daughter of the late Harley and Ione McNeilan Young.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Stern, who passed away on August 2, 2007 and son-in-law, Jim Hall.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Tammy Stern of Seaman; two daughters and son-in-law, Diana and Jim Moore of Hillsboro and Jo Hall of Winchester; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 5 great, great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman with Rev. Marilyn Rhoades officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Leigh Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hope, 215 Hughes Blvd. Mt. Orab, Ohio 45154.
