Dorothy C. Swank, 82 years of the Sinking Spring Community, died Friday, June 2, 2006.
She was born March 20, 1924 in Miamisburg, Ohio, the daughter of the late Edwin and Mae Roe Shuey. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Elwood D. Swank on June 23, 1997, and one sister Doris Carr.
Dorothy retired in 1981 from D.E.S.I. after 30 years of service.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Malita Swank of Sinking Spring; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda Rockhill and Doug of Deland, FL., four grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, dedicated companion and friend Wanda Short.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring.
Greg Seaman will officiate with burial to follow in the Cedar Chapel Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
