Dorothy Thompson

Dorothy Thompson, 84 years formerly of the Dunkinsville Community, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at the Eagle Creek Nursing Home in West Union.

She was born in Grand Rapids, Minnesota on January 16, 1924 the daughter of the late Edward and Dorothea Rippie Homuth.

She was a member of the U.S. Air Force during World War II from 1943-1945 and also a member of the Seaman American Legion.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Thompson, who passed away in 1993.

She is survived by her brother-in-law Heber Clark of Jacktown, sisters Olivia Lemen of Montana and Lorraine Foster of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, and sister-in-law Phylis and Forest Lightle of Springfield, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Richard Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow in West Union Cemetery.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 12:00 till 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
