Douglas Lee Johnson of Columbus, OH peacefully entered into eternal rest on May 5, 2022 at the age of 69 following a battle with COPD.
Doug was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 2, 1952. He was a musician, he played keyboard in several bands in his youth, and he later owned his own piano business for many years. Doug enjoyed his piano business very much. He will be fondly remembered as a kind and warmhearted person, who will be incredibly missed.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Otto Oswald and Betty (Broyles) Johnson and his two brothers; Steven and Philip Johnson.
Doug is survived by his sister-in-law, Nancy C. Johnson; two nephews, Adam (Colleen) Johnson and Joshua (Jeanette) Johnson; four aunts, Carol Johnson, Nancy B. Johnson, Catherine Bandura, and Frances Hinshaw; and numerous Cousins.
A special thank you to Doug's dear friends, Jude Nagel and Craig Smith who helped Doug in so many ways, especially during his illness.
Services will be 12:00pm Saturday May 14, 2022 at the Hillsboro 1st United Methodist Church. Dr. Pastor Derek Russell will officiate. Burial will follow at the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11:00am until time of service Saturday May 14, 2022 at the Hillsboro 1st United Methodist Church.
