Drexel Ray Vance, 63 years of Hillsboro, died Thursday, November 29, 2001 at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
He was born in Morgan County, Kentucky on January 31, 1938 the son of the late Buford and Stella Mae Vance Vance.
He was a former member of the Brown County Coon Hunters Club. He retired as a fork lift operator from Milacron in Batavia.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Ray Vance, one sister, Murlene Vance, and three brothers, Grover, J.C., and Dephis Little John Vance.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy King Vance of Hillsboro, who he married on March 24, 1960, son, Phillip Vance of Belfast, daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Billy Holton of Russellville, daughter and fiancé, Tracy Vance and Kenny Williamson of Hillsboro, adopted daughter granddaughter, Andrea Vance of Hillsboro, granddaughters, Heather Holton and Stacey Holton, brothers, Delmar Vance of Winchester, Vernon Vance of West Liberty, Kentucky, Eugene Vance of West Liberty, Kentucky, Charles Vance of Dayton, Glennis Levon Vance of Zephyr Hills, Florida, Ronnie Vance of Georgetown, Ohio, sisters, Christine Evans of Eckmansville, Connie May of Hillsboro, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2001 at 10:30 A.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Ed Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Cherry Fork Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
