Duane Wamsley

Duane Wamsley, age 85 of Cherry Fork, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014 at his residence.
He was born in Blue Creek, Ohio on October 9, 1929 the son of the late Thomas and Garnette (Hafer) Wamsley.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Eloene Jamison.
Duane attended Bethlehem Church of Christ, was a US Army veteran, and helped start Adams County Flying Club.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Evelyn (Trout) Wamsley of Cherry Fork; two sons, Stephen and Andrea Wamsley of Cherry Fork and David Wamsley of Cherry Fork; one daughter, Linda and Tim Naylor of Cherry Fork; two sisters, Carol and John Wickerham of West Union and Carla Boehm of West Lafayette, Indiana; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Bethlehem Church of Christ with Tom Claibourne officiating. Burial will follow in Cherry Fork Cemetery with a military graveside service given by the Adams County Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman.
Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Church of Christ.
