Ed Palmer, 83 years of Peebles, died Thursday, June 30, 2005 at the Adams County Hospital in West Union.
He was born in Adams County, Ohio on August 20, 1921 the son of the late Ray and Nola Grooms Palmer.
He was an Army Air Corp veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Peebles American Legion Thompson-Wallingford Post #594. He worked for Plum Run Stone.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Havens Palmer, who passed away on November 19, 1997.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and Phyllis Palmer, Teddy Palmer, Terry and Lely Palmer, Jim Palmer, daughter, Rosie Fitzpatrick all of Peebles, brother, Paul Palmer of Dayton, six grandchildren, Melinda Davis, Melissa Hopkins, Sarah Palmer, Michelle Palmer, Dale Fitzpatrick, and Christy Fitzpatrick, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from 12:00 till 2:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
