Edith E. Smith

Edith E. Smith, 82 years of Wilmington, OH., formally of Rainsboro, passed away on Thursday November 4, 2021.

She was born in Pike County on February 2, 1939, the daughter of the late Arthur and Garnet (Chaney) Legg. Besides her parents, she is also preceded by her husband, Charles Smith, son, Ronald Smith, brother, William Legg and sister, Judy Kerns.

Edith retired from Randall Textron.

Edith is survived by her daughter, Rita (James) Heard of Wilmington, three grandchildren: Veronica (Doug) McIntosh, Tara Smith (Tony) and Angie (Jerry) Lightfoot, three great grandchildren: Michael (Megan) McIntosh, Mikalia McIntosh and Hayden Montero, brothers, Donald Legg of Lakeland, FL and Roger Legg of Chillicothe.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm Friday November 12, 2021 at the Thompson Funeral Home, 241 E. Main St., Hillsboro, OH. 45133. Burial will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 11:00 am until time of services on Friday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
