Edna Lucille Dawson, 84 years of Hillsboro, died Sunday, January 7, 2007 at The Laurels of Hillsboro.
She was born December 3, 1922 in Adams County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Dugan Henize. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ray, Harold ?Pete? and Robert Henize.
Edna was a member of the Sinking Spring United Methodist Church.
On August 29, 1947 she was united in marriage to Charles Dawson who survives. She is also survived by two sons, James Dawson of Riverdale, Utah, William Dawson of Bainbridge, Ohio; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marsha and Clyde Slaven of Jamestown, Ohio, Martha and Russell Shope of Xenia, Ohio; sister, Pearl Herdman of Montgomery, Ohio; sister-in-law, Kathryn Henize of Seaman, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Lisa, Sean, Todd, Shannon, Jeremy, Misty, Kazia, Beth, Arron and Becky; 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 11, 2007 at the Sinking Spring United Methodist Church. Greg Seaman will officiate with burial following in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
