Edna Evelyn Johnson, 91 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Friday January 12, 2018 in Port Charlotte, FL.
Edna was born in Spencer County, Indiana on June 4, 1926, the daughter of the late Alan Robert and Ruby (Jessee) Colyer. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Edward Ray Johnson on October 19, 2017 and daughter-in-law Judee Johnson.
Edna was a graduate from Wright State University, receiving her Master's Degree in Psychology. Edna taught Psychology at the Southern State Community College. Edna was a member of the Leesburg Art Guild where she displayed many of her art works. Edna was a minister's wife where she served many Methodist Church Congregation's in Southern Ohio for 19 years along with her husband.
Edna is survived by three sons, Brian (Laura) Johnson of Hillsboro, David (Rita) Johnson of Springhill, FL. And Steven Johnson of Springfield, OH.; five grandchildren, Eric (Haley) Johnson, Jessica (Pete) Stulginski, Tim Johnson, Michael Johnson and Mark (Erica) Johnson; seven great grandchildren, Carter, Paige, Jake, Tyler, Alexis, Alex and Rachel; brother Bob Colyer of Lehigh Acres, FL. And sister Ginny Lowe of Gulf Coast, FL.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Pastor Rick Massingill will officiate with burial to follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call from12:00 P.M. until time of services on Saturday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
