Edward R. Carte, 71 years of West Union, died Saturday, August 11, 2007 at the Adams County Regional Medical Center in Seaman.
He was born in Charleston, West Virginia on January 28, 1936 the son of the late Harold and Virginia Henderson Carte.
He was a U.S. Marine Veteran of the Vietnam Era. He worked for AEP.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Arnold and Nancy Carte of Mt. Sterling, Paul and Dianna Carte of Ashley, Ohio, nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 17, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at the Tranquility Community Church with Rick Gerlock officiating. Burial will follow in the Cherry Fork Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 11:00 till 1:00 P.M. at the Tranquility Community Church.
Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles is in charge of arrangements.
