Edward Johnson, 80 years of Seaman, died Monday, December 10, 2001 at the Clermont Mercy Hospital in Batavia.
He was born in Morgan County, Kentucky on October 6, 1921 the son of the late John and Vena Haney Johnson.
He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Countryside Church of Christ, the Adams County Honor Guard, American Legion Post #633, Middletown Sportsman Club, and the Amateur Trap Shooting Association.
He is survived by his wife, Arta Barrett Johnson, who he married on April 3, 1946, daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Melvin Humphrey of Seaman, four grandchildren, brother, John Johnson of Shelby, Ohio, sisters, Lorene Horton of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, Edith Ellington of Texas, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2001 at 11:00 A.M. at the Countryside Church of Christ with Walt Chamberlan officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Leigh Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Adams County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Countryside Church of Christ.
