Edward L. Norris, 79 years of Lynchburg, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the Highland District Hospital.
Ed was born July 8, 1933 in Albany, KY., the son of the late William Jesse and Ada Georgianna Honeycutt Norris. Beside his parents, Ed was preceded in death by one son, Eddie Norris; three brothers, Schuyler, Joe and Fred Norris; three sisters, Mary Means, Ruby Groce and Undine Shelly.
Ed was a dairy and beef farmer and a construction worker.
On December 25, 1954 he was united in marriage to Cora Dixon who survives. He is also survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, William and Jackie Norris of Mt. Orab, Robert and Tammy Norris of Columbus, David and Debbie Norris of Hillsboro, Larry and Anita Norris of Lynchburg, Mike and Dee Norris of Lynchburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Tim Reeves of Galena; one daughter-in-law, Chris Norris of Hillsboro; one brother, Edwin Bruce Norris of Belfast; two sisters, Martha Jane Waits of Hillsboro, Beulah Wells of Dayton; 18 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Larry Herdman officiating.
Friends may call Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens.
