Edward Silhavy, 68 years of Winchester, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011 at his residence.
He was born in Valpraiso, Indiana on October 5, 1942 the son of the late Florence M. Cook Silhavy.
Besides his mother he was preceded in death by his wife Dora Silhavy, who passed away on October 30, 2010.
Edward attended Mt. Olivet Community Church.
He is survived by his father Edward F. Silhavy of Valpraiso, Indiana, one son and daughter-in-law; Toby and Jeannette Silhavy of Peebles, one daughter; Linda Waak of La Porte, Indiana, one brother; Terry Silhavy of Valpraiso, Indiana, one sister; Linda Silhavy of Valpraiso, Indiana, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester with Ray Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Cherry Fork Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester.
