Edward O. Spencer

Edward O. Spencer, 80 years formerly of Peebles, died Thursday, February 14, 2002 at the Middletown Regional Hospital.
He was born in Adams County, Ohio on May 2, 1921 the son of the late Greely and Maggie Blankenship Spencer.
He was a member of the Peebles Church of Christ.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife in 1955, June Spencer, his second wife of forty-seven years in 1997, Hassie Spencer, daughter, Gloria Ann McCollum, stepson, Allison Richards, and two brothers, Judge Elmer Spencer, and Harold Spencer.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, William and Trudie Spencer of Mason, daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Don Morris of Stronghurst, IL, Loretta and Randall Dixon of Springboro, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, brother, Dr. Eugene Spencer of Columbus, and sister, Dixie Woolery of West Milton, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 18, 2002 at 3:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Dr. Delbert Dawes officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 5:00 till 7:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Middletown, 4414 Lewis Street, Middletown, OH 45044.
