Effie Rosella Walls, 73 years of Peebles, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Adams County Regional Medical Center.
She was born in McKee, Kentucky on April 1, 1935 the daughter of the late Frank and Flora Rowland Glenn.
Effie was a longtime member of the Tranquility Full Gospel and Tabernacle.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Tracy Scrivner, second husband, Homer Walls, one daughter, Debra Sue Scrivner, four brothers, Vernon, Lawrence, Charles, and Jesse Glenn, and two sisters, Geneva Azbill and Edith Gay.
She is survived by four sons, Randy Scrivner of Peebles, Ed Scrivner of Peebles, John Scrivner of Washington D.C., and Brian Trish Partin of Peebles, four daughters, Sherry Gibbs of Peebles, Donna Scrivner of Camden, Ohio, Patty Mike Neeley of Hamilton, Ohio, and Saundra Don Smith of Collinsville, Ohio, one sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Leroy Disher of Peebles, twenty four grandchildren, thirty six great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2008 at 12:00 P.M. at the Tranquility Full Gospel and Tabernacle with Daniel McCann officiating. Burial will follow in Tranquility Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday after 12:00 P.M. at the Tranquility Full Gospel and Tabernacle; the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the family C/O Jesse Disher.
