Eldon Dutch A. Hickey, Sr., 75 years of Seaman, died Wednesday, April 2, 2003 at his residence.
He was born in Clermont County, Ohio on April 11, 1927 the son of the late Alvin and Maudie Mayne Hickey.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was associated with the Bible Baptist Church of West Union. He was a member of the Goshen Masonic Lodge #332, and the Cincinnati Carpenter Union Local #2.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Truman Hickey, and Evan Hickey.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Betty Ross Hickey of Seaman, three sons and daughters-in-law, Floyd and Sue Hickey of Seaman, Lloyd and Christine Hickey of Seaman, Eldon and Kimberly Hickey, Jr. of Seaman, three daughters and sons-in-law, Charlene and Jim Hull of Seaman, Darlene and Jim Tadlock of Winchester, Judy and Tom Cross of Winchester, sixteen grandchildren, one great grandchild, five brothers, Gordon Hickey of Blanchester, Jack Hickey of Hillsboro, Claude Hickey of Blanchester, Art Hickey of Cincinnati, Woodrow Hickey of Texas, and three sisters, Thelma Wilson of Wilmington, North Carolina, Loris Garrison of Blanchester, and Zella Mae Johnson of Wapakoneta.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home in Seaman with Rev. Bill Webb and Rev. Tim Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Cherry Fork Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 6:00 till 9:00 P.M. at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home with Masonic Services at 8:30 P.M..
