Eleanor Helterbrand

January 19, 1925 — July 17, 2018

Eleanor Helterbrand, 93 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Tuesday July 17, 2018.

She was born in Highland County on January 19, 1925, the daughter of the late Earl and Neta (Locke) Smith. Besides her parents, she is also preceded by her husband, Clarence "Gene" Helterbrand on January 14, 1999, grandsons, David Collins and Zachary Gullett, five brothers, George "Bud", Harry, Earl, Jim and John Smith, three sisters, Etta Faye, Armetha and Maxine and son-in-law, Gary Kimmel.

Eleanor was a member of the Northview Baptist Church, the Hillsboro Senior Citizens Club, enjoyed gardening, baking, quilting and spending time with her grandchildren.

Eleanor is survived by her four daughters, Linda (Jim) Collins of Miamisburg, Debbie Kimmel of Miamisburg, Joette (Daryl) Wilson of Miamisburg and Connie (Mike) Gullett of Hillsboro, nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, sister, Emma (Jack) Puckett of Sinking Springs, sister-in-laws, Betty Smith of Hillsboro, Betty Smith of Lebanon and Rosie Smith of Hillsboro, brother-in-law, Ernie Turner of Hillsboro and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM on Tuesday July 24, 2018 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Miami Valley Memory Gardens.

Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday July 23, 2018 at the Thompson Funeral Home.

Donations can be made to the, Alzheimer's Association or to the USO.
