Eleanore Shannon, 90 years of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.
She was born in Highland County on March 5, 1912 the daughter of the late Clarence and Pearl Igo Gray.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Irwin Lewis Shannon, who passed away on April 25, 1992.
She was a member of the Mowrystown Presbyterian Church, Grange, and a lifetime member of the Highland County Farm Bureau.
She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Larry and Cathy Shannon of Hillsboro, Gary Shannon of Hillsboro, five grandchildren, Chad Shannon of Hillsboro, Chasity Chris Bowen of Hillsboro, Doug Shannon of Hillsboro, Tami Shannon of Hillsboro, Cortney Shannon of Hillsboro, five great grandchildren, Britney, Sarah & Megan Bowen, and Brandon and Andrew Shannon and one sister, Helen Yochum of Mowrystown.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Pastor Ken Woleab officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. till time of service at 1:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Mowrystown Presbyterian Church.
