Elizabeth L. "Betty" Graves, 91 years of Hillsboro, died Sunday, March 4, 2012 at her residence.
She was born in Highland County on February 12, 1921 the daughter of the late Neal and
Mary Layman Collins. Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edwin "Eddie"
Graves on August 16, 2007, two brothers Charles Collins and Donald Collins.
She was a member of the Prospect United Methodist Church, retired from Ohio Bell Telephone Company and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
She is survived by one niece, Colleen Randy Anshutz of Leesburg; one great niece, Haley Lewis; two great nephews, Nick Fite and Tyler Jacklyn Fite; one great great nephew, Kaiden Fite;
step son, Rich Nancy Graves of Leesburg; two step grandchildren, Nicki Chris Fleming and Todd Alicia Graves; four step great grandchildren, Jordan, Alec and Logan Graves, Morgan Fleming; sister -in-law, Betty Collins of Leesburg; Cousin, Margery Barney of Hillsboro,
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Pastor Tom Zile will officiate with burial to follow in the Prospect Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home.
