Ellsworth Cook

Ellsworth Cook, 84 years of Hillsboro, died Saturday at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington.

He was born July 5, 1922 on the family farm in Paint Township, Highland County, Ohio, the son of the late Elmer and Bessie IoneTroth Cook. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William Troth Cook and James Elmer Cook who died in infancy; one brother-in-law, Leon Salisbury.

Ellsworth was a lifelong farmer, member of the Fall Creek Friends Church, Gideon?s, Officer of the Wilmington Yearly Meeting and the Fairfield Quarterly Meeting; served on the Rainsboro School Board for several years.

On May 7, 1950, he was united in marriage to Marjorie Roberts Cook who survives. He is also survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Neal and Debbie Cook of Hillsboro; one daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Dan Raike of Greenfield; four grandchildren, Nathan Kristy Cook of Hillsboro, Emily Cook of Hillsboro, Matt Raike of Dublin, OH., Scott Raike fiancée Jaci Lewis of Greenfield; two great grandchildren, Caleb and Katie Cook; two sisters and brother-in-law, Esther Jane Salisbury of New Vienna and Elsie C. and Gerald D. Bailey of Hillsboro; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Leesburg.

A Celebration of Life will be held 4:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at the Fall Creek Friends Church. Arthur Alexander and H. Scott Latimer will officiate.

Friends may call from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
