Elmer Beatty Jr., 84 years of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at his residence.
He was born in Highland County, Ohio on October 9, 1920 the son of the late Elmer and Nora Leota Woolums Beatty.
Elmer was a member of the Folsom United Methodist Church, a trustee of Union Cemetery, and Trustee of Union Township for sixteen years. He was also a member of the American Legion.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Clara Ellen Griffith Beatty, and one brother Charles Beatty.
He is survived by one son & daughter-in-law Randy Betty Beatty of Hillsboro, Ohio. Two sisters Thelma Robbins of Hillsboro, Ohio, and Ann Glenn Creditt of Lynchburg, Ohio. Two grandchildren Brittany Marty Shroyer of Springfield, Ohio, and Brad Carol Beatty of Cincinnati, Ohio. One great Grandchild William B. Beatty. A special friend Brackie Walker of Hillsboro, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at the Hope-Miller Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Ohio with Dick Gorman officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope-Miller Thompson Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Union Chapel Church c/o George Chambers, 3030 State Rte 73, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
