Elmer Ray Fields

Elmer Ray Fields, 74 years of Hillsboro, died on Saturday May 18, 2013 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.

He was born in Phelps, Kentucky on November 7, 1938, the son of the late Abe and Alpha Wolford Fields. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by four brothers, Bobby, Freddie, Jimmy and Alex Fields, five sisters, Gracie Bentley, Molly Edmunds, Dolly Musser, Nettie Ellen Fields and Mary Fields.

Elmer retired from Hanson Aggregate at Piketon Plant and enjoyed farming, CB radios and sports.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances "Cookie" Fields, whom he married July 30, 1994 of Hillsboro, daughter Debbie Charlie Palmer of Seaman, Step-son Steve McComas of Hillsboro, adopted son Donathon Denise McIntosh of Winchester, brother Ervin Diane Fields of Phelps, KY, sister Melda George Charles of Union Hill, TN and six grandchildren, Brent, Chasity, Ryan, Grant, Lauren, and Alayna.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday on May 22, 2013 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Pastor Jeff Adams will officiate and burial will follow at Marshall Cemetery.

Friends may call on Tuesday May 21, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Thompson Funeral Home.
