Elva Fettro, 89 years of Hillsboro, died Friday, January 26, 2007 at her residence.
She was born July 9, 1917 at Rainsboro, Ohio, the daughter of the late Earl and Ethel Bragg Evans. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Hugh C. Fettro on March 7, 1984; son-in-law Donald Pelfrey; brother Wendell Evans; sister Alice Fenner.
Elva retired from the Highland County Human Services, was a member of the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church, past matron of Hillsboro Chapter #441 O.E.S. and the Order of White Shrine.
She is survived by a one daughter, Janet Pelfrey of Hillsboro, two sons and daughter-in-law, Harry Fettro of Hillsboro, Richard and Mary Fettro of Hillsboro; four granddaughters, Jodi David Williams, Kathy Jevin Watson, Dawn Billy Groves, Julie Tom Pence; eleven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday at the Thompson Funeral Home with Eastern Star Services to be held at 8:00 P.M.
