Elvas Edenfield

Elvas Edenfield, 88 years of Seaman, passed away Monday, February 1, 2010 at his residence.

He was born in Seaman, Ohio on January 10, 1922 the son of the late George W. and Blanche Florence Hardin Edenfield.

Elvas was a U.S. Army Air Corp Veteran of World War II and a life time farmer.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers; Earl and George Edenfield and one sister; Josie Foster.

He is survived by his wife of sixty four years; Bertha Newman Edenfield of Seaman, two sons and daughters-in-law; Larry and Karlena Edenfield and Dave and Becky Edenfield all of Seaman, two daughters and son-in-law; Delores Schneider of Washington Court House and Margaret and Dean Butler of Austin, Texas, sister-in-law; Dorothy Edenfield of Indiana, several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 5, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Wallace-Thompson Funeral Homes, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman with Homer Holsted officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Leigh Cemetery.

Friends may call on Friday from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. at Wallace-Thompson Funeral Homes, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman.
