Elwood Wilkin, 89 years of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Heartland of Hillsboro.
He was born in Highland County, Ohio on February 3, 1919 the son of the late Orlo and Minnie Pence Wilkin.
He was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ, Volunteer Fireman, Highland County Senior Citizens, and loved caring for other people.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Clara Mae Lyons.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Chaney Wilkin of Hillsboro, daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Milton Gragg of Hillsboro, step grandchildren, Jennifer Jones of Angola, Joshua Christine Gragg of Wilmington, and step great grandchildren, Noah Jones, Devin Gragg, and Gavin Gragg.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
