Emily Sue Hunsucker, 72 years of Sinking Spring Community, died Saturday, December 25, 2004 at her residence.
She was born in Adams County, Ohio on March 11, 1932 the daughter of Charles and Anna Leava Hemmings Smith.
She had worked for 18 1/2 years at the Good Shepard Nursing Home in Springfield and was a member of the Moose Lodge.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by two granddaughters Christian Shaw, Nicole White and four brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her husband of twenty five years Samuel Hunsucker, four sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Lynn Farmer of Tucson, AZ, Larry and Joan Gullett of Springfield, Aaron and Cindy Gullett of Washington, CH, Earl and Betsy Gullett of Springfield, four daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Jerry Safarik of Hillsboro, Julia and Frank Brewer of Hillsboro, Angie and Mike Carey of Springfield, Paula Jo and Roger Travis of Springfield, one step son David Hunsucker of Springfield, one step daughter, Angie Hunsucker of Springfield, one step brother, Edgar Smith of Michigan, one step sister, Georgie Smith of Michigan, twenty two grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring with Carey Hilterbran officiating.
Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice of Portsmouth, Ohio.
