Emily Ann Knauff, 18 years of Peebles, died Saturday, April 12, 2003.
She was born in Maysville, Kentucky on April 20, 1984 the daughter of Michael and Maria Jansen Knauff.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Knauff and her grandfathers, Leroy Knauff, and Paul Jansen.
She was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church in Peebles, FFA member of the OVLCTC, and member of the Happy Trails 4H Club. She was the 2003 Equine Queen for Adams County. She graduated in the Class of 2002 from Peebles High School, and attended Southern State Community College.
She is survived by her parents, Michael and Maria Knauff of Peebles, paternal grandmother, Ruth Knauff of Peebles, maternal grandmother, Vivan Jansen of Cincinnati, brother, Michael Knauff of Peebles, sisters, Mary, Michelle, and Catherine Knauff of Peebles, uncles and aunts, Brian and Angela Knauff of Peebles, Steven Knauff of Locust Grove, Regina and Rick Nace of Peebles, Barbara and Tom Bauer of Peebles, Paul Jansen of Amelia, Jennifer Jansen of Williamsburg, Jamie and Paul Schmidl of Amelia, cousins, Eric, Casie, Caila and Jeremy Knauff, Nichole Nace, Zachary, Caleb, Rebecca, and Laura Schmidl, Jack, and Teresa Bauer, and a host of great uncles, great aunts, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Peebles with Rev. Theodore Kosse officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with prayers at 8:00 P.M.
Memorials may be made to the Emily Ann Knauff FFA/4H Scholarship Fund, C/O First State Bank, 145 N. Main Street, Peebles, OH 45660.
