Emory William Lansing, 82 years of Peebles, died Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the Adena Medical Center in Chillicothe, OH.
He was born May 5, 1928 in Pike County, OH., the son of the late Ollie and Myrtle Mustard Lansing. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Juanita Beekman Lansing on March 22, 2000, two sons David and Larry, one granddaughter, one brother and three sisters.
Emory was a lifelong timber man by vocation.
He is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Everett and Grace Lansing of Piketon, Basil and Marie Lansing of Peebles, Russell Lansing of Peebles, Kevin Lansing of Peebles, two daughters and sons-in-law, Delores and Wilson Tong of Peebles, Debbie and David Tong of Peebles, three brothers, Lloyd Lansing of Peebles, Floyd Lansing of Wilmington, Cecil Lansing of Wilmington, three sisters, Kathryn Mustard of Hillsboro, Flora Hilderbran of Peebles, Lina Balles of Dayton, 8 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring.
Burial will follow in the Whiteoak Cemetery in Pike County, OH.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
