Ermalene V. Rhoads, 84 years of Peebles, died Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at the Adams County Regional Medical Center in Seaman, Ohio.
She was born in Adams County, Ohio on November 3, 1923 the daughter of the late Bill and Ona Freeze Swayne.
She is survived by her husband Rev. Carlos Rhoads who she married on July 5, 1944, two sons and daughters-in-law Marlyn & Sue Davis of Peebles, and Bill & Mary Rhoads of Peebles, two daughters and sons-in-law Linda & Z.D. Lay of Peebles and Peggy & Vondon Applegate of Peebles, two brothers Lowell Swayne of Hillsboro and Dean Swayne of Peebles, two sisters Opal Browning of Peebles and Kay Cofer of West Union, thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wesleyan Tabernacle Church in Locust Grove with Richard Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
