Ernest Herman Parker, 97 years of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at the VA Medical Center in Dayton.
He was born in Adams County, Ohio on October 16, 1908 the son of the late John L. and Lennie Evans Parker.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Hillsboro Church of God, Disabled American Veterans, and Hillsboro VFW Post #9094. He retired in 1973 from the Webster School System.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Eva Marie Parker, second wife, Mary Imogene Parker, two sons, James Edward Parker and Paul David Parker, grandson, James Parker, three brothers, James, Oren, and William Parker, and two sisters, Eva Spicer, and Grace Marshall.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Lowell and Brenda Parker of Dayton, John T. and Betty Parker of Hillsboro, Donald E. Parker of Huntington, Indiana, Denver Lee and Linda Parker of Springfield, Ohio, daughters and sons-in-law, Iva L. and David Walters of Circleville, Jean Ann Phillips of Hillsboro, Ruth and Jesse Estes of Greenville, Ohio, twenty grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the Hillsboro Church of God, 5760 U.S. Route 62, Hillsboro, OH 45133 with Rev. Samuel Salyer officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hillsboro Church of God.
