Ervin H. Smith, 75 years of Peebles, died Monday, March 15, 2004 at the Mercy Anderson Hospital in Cincinnati.
He was born in Logan, West Virginia on Febraury 11, 1929 the son of the late Truman and Kizzy Adkins Smith.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Latham Christian Union Church.
He is survived by his wife, Jan Morphew Smith, who he married on June 29, 1991, sons and daughters-in-law, David and Connie Phillips, Mark and Carrie Phillips, Eric Phillips, John Phillips, all of Indiana, daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Ron Kuhlman of Cincinnati, Penny and Jack Gordon of Indiana, Vicki and Ron Johnson of Indiana, brothers, George Smith of West Virginia, Wayne Smith of Cincinnati, Ray Smith of West Virginia, Roscoe Smith of West Virginia, twenty grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the Latham Christian Union Church with Jim Daulton and Rick Weber officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Adams County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
