June Williams, 80 years, of Hillsboro, died Friday, May 20, 2005 at Crestwood Nursing Center in Hillsboro.
She was born January 21, 1925 at Belfast, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harry and Marie Fannin Smittle.
She was a member of the Hillsboro Bible Baptist Church, Retired from the Federal Crop Insurance Company and was a member of the F.O.E. Aerie #1161 Ladies Auxillary of Hillsboro.
On June 17, 1944 she was united in marriage to Eugene V. Slab Williams who preceded her in death on September 11, 1998. She was also preceded in death by a son Donald E.Williams, Sr. on November 15, 1998, great granddaughter Tiffany Sabrina Williams and a brother Harry Buss Smittle.
She is survived by three grandsons, David Tonya Williams of Leesburg, Ohio, Donald Cindy Williams of Hillsboro, Ohio and Danny Williams of Hillsboro, Ohio; two granddaughters, Nicole Williams of Piketon and Stephanie Fulkerson of Leesburg, Ohio; 11 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Grace Williams of Piketon, Ohio; brother and sister-in-law Dale and Ruth Smittle of Locust Grove, Ohio; two sisters, Helen Bradie of Hartford, Connecticut and Irene Sprinkle of Hillsboro, Ohio; four sisters-in-law Juanita Smittle of Sinking Spring, Ohio and Shirley Swingley of Hillsboro, Ohio, Ruth Williams, and Virginia Williams; special friends Sue Lemley and Mary Smith.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 23, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral in Hillsboro. Dr. Dan Lamb will officiate with burial following in the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
