Eunice Thomas, 91 years of Peebles, died Sunday, October 21, 2001 at the Bethesda North Hospital.
She was born at Eckmansville, OH on June 18, 1910 the daughter of Orville and AnnaEckman Swearingen.
She was a member of the Jacksonville United Methodist Church.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Chester Thomas on September 24, 1980, one son David Thomas and one grandson Brian Gaffin.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Orval and JoAnne Thomas of Ypsilanti, MI, Neil and Rita Thomas of Peebles, three daughters and sons-in-law,Ruth Ann and James Cluxton of Peebles, Kay and Russell Gaffin of West Union, Lynne and Kevin Newman of Peebles, three sisters, Ruth West of Xenia, Alta Cochran of Peebles, Pauline Mathias of Cherry Fork, one sister-in-law, Rosalee Swearingen of Xenix, fourteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2001 at 1:00 P.M. at the Jacksonville United Methodist Church with Harmon Dryden officiating. Burial will follow in the Jacksonville Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
Memorials may be made to the Jacksonville Methodist Church building fund in care of John White, 160 2nd Street, Peebles, Ohio 45660.
