Eva L. Stern, 86 years of Seaman, died Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at the Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown.
She was born in Peebles, Ohio on August 25, 1920 the daughter of the late Ottis and Faye Gaffin Swisshelm.
She was a Peebles High School graduate in 1938, where she was the Captain of the basketball team. She was a member of the Seaman Presbyterian Church.
Beside her parents she was
preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Stern, who passed away on January 7, 2007, sister, Geneva Lawhorn, and one grandchild, Kelly.
She is survived by her son, Tom Stern of Unity, daughter, Patricia Shaw of Cincinnati, brothers, Ralph Swisshelm of Bethel, Byron Swisshelm of Tampa, Florida, four grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home in Seaman with Rev. Nat Manzo officiating. Burial will follow in the Tranquility Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 till 11:00 A.M. at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home.
