Evelyn F. Hawkins

Evelyn F. Hawkins, 82 years of Seaman, died Monday, November 4, 2002 at her residence.

She was born in Bath County, Kentucky on January 9, 1920 the daughter of the late Truman and Lillie Arrasmith Butler.

She was a member of the Louisville Grange.

Beside her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Hawkins, one daughter, Connie Hawkins, and five brothers, Owen, Clyde, Ewell Tom, Nathan, and Bill Butler.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence Slim Hawkins, who she married on May 23, 1941, two sons and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Shirley Hawkins of Panama City, Florida, Gary Hawkins of Seaman, three daughters and sons-in-law, Clarine and Tim Colliver of Lebanon, Ohio, Charlotte and Nick DeAtley of Winchester, Bettie and Rick Johnson of Athens, Ohio, eight grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2002 at 1:00 P.M. at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home in Seaman with Homer Holstead officiating. Burial will follow in the Samantha Methodist Cemetery.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home.
