Evelyn Stratton, 55 years of Blue Creek, died Tuesday, November 27, 2001 at her residence.
She was born in Harlan County, Kentucky on February 23, 1946 the daughter of the late Roy and Sarah Daniel.
She was a member of the Shawnee Church. She worked in the mail room at Alden?s.
She was united in marriage on November 6, 1962 to Thomas Stratton of Blue Creek, who survives. She is also survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Tom Stratton III of Aberdeen, Todd and Brenda Stratton of Peebles, daughter, Angie Stratton of Blue Creek, three grandchildren, three brothers, Ed, Will, and Charlie, twelve sisters, Mercedes, Sarah Ellen, Virginia, Mollie, Dora Jane, Betty, Barbara, Melinda, Delilah, Beulah, Mary, and Dorothy, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 30, 2001 at 10:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Roger Powell officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
