Everett Lee Moore, 83 years of Highland, OH., died Thursday, November 5, 2009 at his residence.
He was born February 21, 1926 at Pennington Gap, VA., the son of the late Jesse and Nettie Percey Moore. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Anna Virginia Moore on July 1, 2009, one grandson Dylan Masters, three sisters Pearl, Myrtle and Vera.
Everett was a retired machine operator, served his Country during WW II in the US Navy.
He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Jeff Gilliland of Highland, OH., one son and daughter-in-law Chesley M. and Saundra Masters of Huber Heights, OH., one brother Howard Moore of Fairborn, OH., four grandchildren Jessica Craig Cordery of Hillsboro, OH., Levi Parker of Highland, OH., Shane Tabitha Masters of Huber Heights, OH., Tiffany Brian Rihm of Huber Heights, OH., three great grandchildren.
Everett was an avid hunter with good friends Bob, Eddie and Bucky Beasley.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Monday, November 9, 2009 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Pastor Mary Cyrus officiating.
Burial will follow in the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
