Everett Roush

Everett Edwin Roush, 87, of Lake Village, AR passed away February 25, 2023 at Lake Village Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born on November 22, 1935 to the late Raymond and Sarah Austin Roush. Everett was a 1953 graduate of Hillsboro High School where he was involved with Future Farmers of America and served as president. He worked for the Chesapeake Potomac Telephone Company (now AT&T) for 33 years before retiring in 1998. While living in Hillsboro, Everett enjoyed competing in tractor pulls at the Highland County Fair. He was a member of Hillsboro Church of Christ.
Everett and Lavaun moved to Lake Village in 1998 to farm with the Steritz Family. He retired from farming in 2020. Everett enjoyed farming, being outdoors, doing mechanical work and reading his bible. He was a member of Lake Village Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Lavaun Sams Roush; son, Joseph Everett Roush of Columbus, OH; brother, Glen Austin and his wife Ruby of Maurertown, VA; sister, Ruth Roush Harte of Viriginia Beach, VA; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 10:00am-11:00am Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro, OH. Graveside funeral service will be held at 12 noon Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Buford Cemetery in Buford, OH. Arrangements by Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service of McGehee, AR.
