Everett Curtis Shaffer

October 8, 1918 — November 29, 2004

Everett Curtis Shaffer, 86 years of Hillsboro, died Monday, November 29, 2004 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.

He was born in Highland County, Ohio on October 8, 1918 the son of the late Elmer L. and Carna Cadwallader Shaffer.

He was a member of the Pricetown Church of Christ. He was a lifelong farmer, was a bus driver for Lynchburg-Clay schools, and worked for fifteen years at Landmark. He served on the Salem Local School Board and the Highland County School Board.

He was united in marriage on May 23, 1946 to Mary Allen Shaffer, who survives. He is also survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy and Ralph Schrock of Jamestown, Peggy and Lonnie Butler of Hillsboro, Linda and Randy Wilkin of Hillsboro, brother and sister-in-law, Robert Pete and Nancy Shaffer of Lynchburg, five grandchildren, Beth Chris Purtee of Hillsboro, Nicki Shawn Holloway of Loveland, Rhett Butler of Bainbridge, Krista Dustin Graves of Spring Hill, Tennessee, Kevin Schrock of Birch Run, Michigan, and three great grandchildren, Wesley and Ashley Purtee, and Garrett Holloway.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Leo Kuhn officiating. Burial will follow in the Ruble Cemetery.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
