Fairley R. "Rocky" Smith, 59 years of Hillsboro, died Thursday, May 27, 2010 at his residence.
He was born November 20, 1950 in Hillsboro, OH., the son of the late James R. and Mary M. Nichols Smith. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother James R. Smith, Jr.
Rocky worked at Hank n Bill's for many years and later opened his own small engine repair business from home where he worked until 2005.
On April 30, 1971 he was united in marriage to Margaret Dunseith Smith who survives. He is also survived by daughter and son-in-law Mary Michelle and Todd Whited of Hillsboro, two sons and daughters-in-law, Fairley R. "Smitty" & Linda Smith, Jr. of Hillsboro, Shane Michael and Sonya Smith of Cincinnati, OH., nine grandchildren, Taylor, Hannah and Gabe Whited, Rocky, Mackenzie, Gage, Mason, Kaylee and Dylan Smith, one brother and sister-in-law Randy and Donna Smith of Hillsboro, two sisters, Roberta Brown of Hillsboro and Tama Smith of Hillsboro, mother-in-law Mary Dunseith of Hillsboro, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 31, 2010 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Ron Brown will officiate services.
Friends may call on Sunday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the family in care of the Thompson Funeral Home, 241 East Main Street, Hillsboro, OH 45133
