Fay E. Jordan, 100 years of Hillsboro, died Saturday, June 1, 2002 at her residence.
She was born in Scioto County, Ohio on February 19, 1902 the daughter of the late James and Sarah Ellen Covert Litteral.
She attended the Hillsboro Freewill Baptist Church and retired in 1970 after 29 years of serving as clerk of Mifflin Township.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph H. Jordan, on July 4, 1974, one son, Robert Jordan, two daughters, Mary Tong and Helen Jordan, several brothers, sisters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Richard ''Boke'' Jordan of West Union, Bill Jordan of Hillsboro, one daughter, Kathleen ''Kate'' Burnett of Hillsboro, one special niece, Edna Younker Wesley, and 150 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2002 at 3:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring with Rev. Keith Perkins, Rev. Carey Hilterbran, and Rev. Wylie Perkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Washburn Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday evening from 4:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
