Faye Thompson, age 95 of Piketon, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Piketon Nursing Center.
She was born in Piketon, Ohio on September 29, 1917 the daughter of the late Floyd and Mattie Smith Grooms.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Thompson, Who passed away on June 30, 1980.
Faye attended Union Hill Church.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Lloyd and Marilyn of Waynesville, Orville and Sharon of Piketon, and Dennis and Angie Thompson of Piketon; one daughter, Marlene McCann of Lucasville; half brother, Ralph Woods of Peebles; two sisters, Eleanor Beavers of Latham and Juanita Ward of Rarden; 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Union Hill Church with Phil Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in Harmon Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
