Floyd Joseph Rhoads, Sr., 97 years formerly of Sinking Spring, Ohio, and Batesville, Indiana, died Wednesday, December 17, 2003 at Ripley Crossing in Milan, Indiana.
He was born in Highland County, Ohio on December 20, 1905.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Reed Rhoads, one son, Floyd Rhoads, Jr., one grandson, Nicholas Rhoads, and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his daughter, Georganna Rhoads of Osgood, Indiana, daughter-in-law, Audrey McElwee Rhoads of Batesville, Indiana, two grandsons, Greg Rhoads of Cincinnati, Gordon Carol Rhoads of Batesville, four great grandchildren, Joshua Rhoads of Batesville, Casey Rhoads of Osgood, Tonya Rhoads Gary Zembrodt of Florence, Kentucky, Talli Rhoads Greg Reinert of Florence, seven great great grandchildren, Loranna Cox, Katelyn Rhoads, Sydney Reinert, Ciera Rhoads, Shelby Reinert, Spencer Zembrodt, Haley Zembrodt, and special friend, Christine Robertson.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring, Ohio with Greg Seaman officiating. Burial will follow in the Saints Cemetery at Sinking Spring, Ohio.
No visitation will be observed.
