Forest J. "Hank" Thompson, 80 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Monday March 31, 2014 at his residence.
He was born in Adams County on November 29, 1933, the son of the late Arthur and Flora Helterbran Thompson. Besides his parents he was preceded by his wife Mary L. Newman Thompson on June 17, 2013; seven brothers, Ralph, Paul, Elzza, Floyd Orva, Johnny Clinton, Kenneth and Bob Thompson; three sisters, Dorothy Burchett, Eliza Myrtle Kathleen Bricta and Della Pauline O'Bryant.
Forest worked for Bricklayers & Allied Craftsman Local 18 Cincinnati for 44 years.
He is survived by his sons Faron Nancy Thompson of Sardinia and Jerry Lynette Thompson of Hillsboro, two sisters Stella Mae Earnel Ward of Peebles and Marlene Ricky Foster of Peebles, sister-in-law June Thompson of New Vienna, four grandchildren Adam Clara Young, Patrick Megan Thompson, Heather Thompson and Amber Damien Pitts and five great grandchildren Hailey, Aidan and Dylan Young, Myah Pitts and Jacob Wayne Thompson.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday April 5, 2014 at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at the New Market Cemetery with Military Rites by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call at 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday April 4, 2014 at the Thompson Funeral Home.
