Fred R. McBee, 91 years of Hillsboro, died Thursday, June 2, 2005 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.
He was born in Pike County, Ohio on May 19, 1914 the son of the late Silva and Arizona Clay McBee.
He was retired from farming and also retired in 1980 from the Ohio Department of Transportation.
He was united in marriage on May 15, 1937 to Martha Bobb McBee, who preceded him in death on February 26, 2001. He is also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Melvin McBee, Burl McBee, and one sister, Hattie Combs.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Charles Corley of Hillsboro, brother, Dennis McBee of Elmville, sisters, Mariah Billheimer of Troy, Naomi Parker of Elmville, dear friend, Janet Long of Jamestown, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring with Danny McBee officiating. Burial will follow in the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 12:00 till 2:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
