Fred Messer, 81 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Monday October 26, 2015 at his residence.
He was born in Cawood, KY on May 21, 1934, the son of the late Alex and Ocia (Stephens) Messer. Besides his parents he was also preceded by his wife, Marjorie Ann Messer on January 12, 2009, six brothers, Ben, Woodrow, Ruben, Sid, Don and Bill and three sisters, Hazel, Dorothy and Margaret.
Fred retired, after 32 years, from Wonder Bread in Dayton, OH.
Fred is survived by two sons, Fredrick Messer of Springfield and James Messer of Dayton, three daughters, Joanie (Mark) Dillon of Hillsboro, Kathy Engle of Hillsboro and Laverna (Ron) Bryant of Hillsboro, two step-daughters, Debbie Setser of Dayton and Sandy (Jarod) Thrush of Tipp City, one brother, Blane Messer of Cawood, KY; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
On behalf of Fred's wishes, he is to be cremated.
A Memorial Service will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday October 30, 2015 at the Full Gospel House of Prayer, 230 North East St. Hillsboro, OH 45133.
