Freddie Waddell, 16 years of Hillsboro, died Thursday, September 4, 2003 at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
He was born in Wilmington, Ohio on July 28, 1987 the son of Frederick Warner and Peggy Sue Purdom Waddell, Sr.
He was a sophomore at Hillsboro High School. He loved bicycles and hanging out with friends, played baseball, videos, rap music, and seventh grade football. He wanted everyone to be proud of him.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ronald E. Waddell, and Emery Slim Purdom.
He is survived by his parents, Fred and Peggy Waddell of Hillsboro, brother, Aaron Thomas Waddell of Hillsboro, paternal grandmother, Margaret Waddell of Leesburg, maternal grandmother, Mildred Purdom of Hillsboro, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 8, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at the Samantha Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Wiley Perkins and Rev. Alan Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 4:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
The family requests that any memorials be made to Fifth Third Bank in memory of Freddie Waddell, to help defray costs.
