Gail S. Humphrey, 90 years of Sinking Spring, passed away on Monday July 14, 2014 at Bethesda North Hospital.
He was born in Highland County on March 7, 1924, the son of the late Hercel and Minnie Bell Riley Humphrey. Besides his parents be was also preceded by two brothers Norman and Roger Humphrey.
Gail served in the Army Air Corp, retired from G.S.A, was a member of the Methodist Church the Highland Lodge #38 F. & A.M. and the Hillsboro Chapter #441 O.E.S.
He is survived by his wife Irene Humphrey, whom he married on January 11, 1945, two sons Gail Richard Humphrey of Hillsboro and Michael Ray Cindy Humphrey of Wittenberg, AR; daughter Sherry Dianne Charles Morrison of Prescott, AR, sister Anna Lee Kier of Florida, five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday July 21, 2014 at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring with Rev. Tom Zile officiating. Burial will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call at 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Sunday July 20, 2014 at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home with Masonic and Eastern Star Services to follow at 4:00 P.M.
